Challenge: To create a high-end brand for The Rolling Stones first-ever fragrance launch, linking closely to the brand but avoiding the common trap of just using the famous tongue emblem.
Solution: We took visual and tonal inspiration from the infamous Beggars Banquet to create “Subversive Scents”, a fragrance brand that encapsulates the rebellious rock 'n' roll spirit of The Stones in their prime.
Results: A critical and commercial success, the initial limited edition run sold out online and at the Carnaby Street store in hours. The range has now been picked up by major retailers like Debenhams, Wallis and The Perfume Shop. It has been widely praised on perfume blogs and rates 4.7/5 on Amazon.
